1. Who we are and accepting these terms

In short: Fintiqa is run by IREACH VENTURES LTD, a UK company. By using the site you agree to these terms. It is meant for professionals aged 18 or over.

fintiqa.com (the site) is operated by IREACH VENTURES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14535559, with its registered office in London, United Kingdom (we, us, our). We also publish Fintechbits.

By using the site, joining the waitlist or submitting a company, you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The site is intended for people aged 18 or over who use it for their work. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation, and “you” includes it.

The current version of these terms is always at fintiqa.com/terms.

2. What the site provides

In short: The site describes the Fintiqa platform, publishes free research, runs a waitlist and lets founders submit their company. It is information, not advice, and we can't promise it will always be available.

The site provides information about the Fintiqa fintech data platform, free research on fintech funding and related events, a waitlist for access to the platform, and a form for founders to submit their company for verification (the registry). Access to the platform itself will be offered on separate terms.

Nothing on the site is investment, financial, legal, tax or other professional advice, or an offer or recommendation to buy or sell anything. You should not rely on the site as the only basis for any decision and should take independent advice where appropriate. We take care to show where each figure comes from, but we do not warrant that the content is complete, accurate or up to date. Reported events are labelled as reported until a primary source confirms them.

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including research pages, at any time.

3. Using our research and data

In short: Quote and cite our research freely, with a link back. Don't copy whole tables or reports, scrape the site or use it to build a competing dataset without our written permission.

We (or our licensors) own the intellectual property in the site, including its text, tables, datasets, compilations, design, software and the Fintiqa and Fintechbits names and logos. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to view the site and to quote reasonable extracts of our research in your own work, provided you credit Fintiqa and link to the page the extract came from.

Without our prior written permission you must not:

Links to third-party sites, including source articles and filings, are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.

4. The founder registry

In short: Only submit a company you're allowed to act for, and keep the details true. Listing is free. We check every submission and decide what is published. You can ask us to correct or remove it at any time.

When you submit a company, you confirm that:

You (or the company) keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, verify, store, edit for accuracy, length or style, combine with other data, and publish the company information you submit, as part of Fintiqa, Fintechbits and our data products. This licence continues for information already published or incorporated into our data until you ask us to remove it.

Companies never pay to be listed. Submitting a company does not guarantee that it will be published. We verify submissions against primary sources and may decline, edit or remove any submission or profile, including where we cannot verify it. Your name, email address and LinkedIn URL are never published; see the privacy notice. To correct or remove a submission or profile, email hello@fintiqa.com.

5. Acceptable use

In short: Use the site lawfully and honestly. Don't try to break it, overload it or misuse it.

You must not use the site to:

We may remove content, block access or refuse submissions from anyone who breaks these terms, and may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

6. Privacy and data protection

In short: We handle personal data under UK data protection law. The privacy notice explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights.

IREACH VENTURES LTD is the controller of personal data collected through the site and processes it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our privacy notice forms part of these terms and explains what we collect, the lawful basis for each use, who we share it with, how long we keep it, international transfers, and how to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Cookies and analytics are covered in the cookies section of the privacy notice, and you can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings at the foot of every page.

7. Our liability to you

In short: The site is free and provided as it is. We aren't liable for decisions you make based on it, and our total liability is capped at £100. Nothing here limits liability the law doesn't allow us to limit.

The site and its content are provided free of charge on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties and representations, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, satisfactory quality and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you for:

whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise. Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the site is limited to £100.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

We are not responsible for any delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures of hosting or network providers, cyber attacks, power failures, natural events, pandemics, or acts of government.

8. Your responsibility for misuse

In short: If you use the site for your business and a false submission or misuse by you causes us a legal claim, you cover our reasonable costs.

If you use the site in the course of a business, you agree to indemnify us against losses, damages and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from a third-party claim caused by information you submit that is false, misleading or infringing, or by your breach of sections 3, 4 or 5. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you take part in its defence. This section does not apply to consumers.

9. Suspension and ending your use

In short: You can stop using the site, leave the waitlist or withdraw a submission at any time. We can suspend access or remove submissions if these terms are broken.

You can stop using the site at any time. To leave the waitlist or withdraw a submission, reply to any email from us or email hello@fintiqa.com; we then deal with your data as the privacy notice describes. We may suspend or end your access to the site, or remove any submission, if you break these terms or if we reasonably need to in order to protect the site, other users or us. Sections 3, 4 (licence), 7, 8, 11 and 12 continue to apply after your use ends.

10. Changes to these terms

In short: We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll give notice on the site, and email you if we have your address, at least 30 days ahead where we can.

We may change these terms, for example to reflect changes to the site or the law. We will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice before they take effect, by a notice on the site and, where we have your email address, by email, unless the change is required sooner by law or for security reasons. If you continue to use the site after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.

11. Disputes and governing law

In short: English law applies. Please talk to us first; most problems can be fixed by email. Formal disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.

If you have a complaint, please email hello@fintiqa.com first. We will try to resolve it within 30 days before either of us starts formal proceedings, except where urgent relief is needed.

These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the site, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

12. General

In short: The usual legal housekeeping.

These terms, together with the privacy notice, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site. If a court finds any part of them invalid, the rest continues in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, for example as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business; you may not transfer yours without our consent. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Headings are for convenience only. You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, including by email and notices on the site.
